Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the replacement of gate motors at Esikhaleni Multipurpose and Richards Bay Civic Centre, ensuring functional and operational improvements in the specified facilities by the deadline of 17 August 2026.

Scope

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications encompass:

• Replacement of gate motors at Esikhaleni Multipurpose and Richards Bay Civic Centre.
• Electrical installation work compliant with SANS 10142 – 1 wiring code and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Use of specified cable types, lengths, and termination procedures, including heat-shrink coverings and proper tagging.
• Testing of systems and submission of Certificates of Compliance (COC).
• Adherence to safety protocols, including site clearing, proper handling of electrical components, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provision of the CSD number.
• Valid Letter of Good Standing from relevant authorities.
• Electrical contracting registration and compliance with electrical regulations.
• Experience in electrical installations, particularly in gate motor systems and associated electrical works.
• Ability to prepare and submit detailed work programmes, safety plans, and testing documentation.
• Capacity to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe, including site assessment and clearance.
