Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations for the supply of laptop safes that meet specified security and technical standards. The procurement aims to acquire safe storage solutions with specific features such as mechanical key access, fingerprint recognition, and tools for opening, ensuring secure storage for the City of uMhlathuze.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of laptop safes with specified dimensions (external: 200x480x350mm; internal: 190x467x280mm).
• Safes must incorporate features such as mechanical keys, fingerprint access (less than 10 fingerprints), and security measures after three incorrect attempts.
• Delivery to the Supply Chain Management Unit at the specified address: End of Betastraal, Alton, Richards.
• Completion of the supply within the stipulated lead time, excluding VAT.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications and requirements for the laptop safes are as follows:

• Type: Mechanical key access with fingerprint recognition.
• Fingerprint capacity: Less than 10 fingerprints.
• Security feature: Lockout after three incorrect access attempts.
• Tools: Provision of tools to open the safe if necessary.
• Dimensions: External - 200x480x350mm; Internal - 190x467x280mm.
• Model/Make: To be reviewed and confirmed for purposes of evaluation.

All alterations to the quotation must be signed by the bidder, and no price increases will be approved after submission.
