Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply office furniture, specifically a high back chair and office desks, for the Pay Office of the Municipality. The goal is to ensure the provision of suitable, functional, and compliant office furniture that meets the specified standards and specifications.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision and delivery of one high back chair with specified features and specifications.
• Provision and delivery of five L-shaped office desks measuring 1.8 meters in length, with specified color and features.
• Compliance with the detailed specifications, warranty, and quality standards as outlined in the tender documents.
• Adherence to the submission and documentation requirements, including mandatory forms and certificates.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the furniture include:

• High Back Chair:
  • Black frame with light grey pleather upholstery.
  • Features: lever swivel, tilt, lock, tensioner, gas height adjustment, headrest, padded arms.
  • Maximum weight capacity: 120kg.
• Office Desks:
  • Size: 1800mm (W) x 1650mm (D) x 760mm (H).
  • Design: L-shaped (corner) desks.
  • Color: Mocha and Lunar White.
  • Additional: 900mm x 400mm side cabinet with 2 lockable drawers.

Skills and Certification Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate compliance with the following skills and certification requirements:

• Submission of valid Tax Clearance Certificate or Tax Compliance status document with PIN from SARS.
• Proof of registration with the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD registration report with Supplier No. and Unique Code).
• Original or certified BBBEE certificate, or verified affidavit for EMEs or QSEs. For joint ventures, a consolidated certificate is required.
• Evidence of at least 51% black ownership and 51% female ownership to claim specific goal points.
• Completion of mandatory forms: MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, and MBD 9.
• Copies of company registration documents and ID copies of company directors.
• Current municipal account statement or valid lease agreement or SAPS affidavit confirming no municipal arrears exceeding 3 months.
• Registration on the municipality’s supplier database if not already registered.
