Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver pollution vessel covers for two vessels at SANPC Saldanha Harbour. The supplier is expected to manufacture heavy-duty PVC covers tailored to the specified vessel dimensions, ensuring secure fitting with bottom pockets and ratchet belts for stability.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Manufacturing and supply of 2 heavy-duty PVC covers for two vessels:
• Vessel Tobie: Length 10.9m, Width 3.8m, Height 2m
• Coupling boat: Length 9.5m, Width 3.3m, Height 2.2 to 1.5m (tapered)
• Each cover must have a bottom pocket for securing strings and 2 x 50mm belts in pockets for ratcheting to secure the covers over the vessels.
• Participation in a compulsory site visit scheduled for 23rd June 2026 at SANPC OPC Saldanha Harbour.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the vessel covers are as follows:

• Heavy-duty PVC material suitable for marine environments
• Covers must be tailored to vessel dimensions with a bottom pocket for securing strings
• Inclusion of 2 x 50mm belts in pockets for ratcheting
• Bottom pockets for securing the covers to the vessels
• All covers must be manufactured to meet the specified vessel dimensions and security features

Skills and Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in manufacturing marine vessel covers or similar heavy-duty PVC products
• Technical capability to produce custom-fitted covers according to detailed specifications
• Compliance with safety and quality standards for marine equipment
• Ability to participate in site visits and adhere to project timelines
• Knowledge of marine environment conditions to ensure durability and performance of the covers
