Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of media equipment for City Power Johannesburg (Pty) Ltd. Scope

The scope includes the procurement of a wide range of media equipment such as cameras, lenses, lighting kits, microphones, stabilizers, teleprompters, camera bags, and accessories. The equipment listed covers professional-grade devices suitable for high-end content production, live broadcasting, and field recordings. Delivery must be direct to City Power stores, with all items specified in the bill of quantities and technical specifications.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that all products must meet the detailed specifications provided, including brand, model, and features. For example:

• Full-frame mirrorless cameras (e.g., Canon EOS RP, Sony Alpha a7 IV)
• Wireless microphones (e.g., Wireless GO Gen3)
• Professional lighting kits (e.g., MS 300V-D LED lights)
• High-quality lenses (e.g., FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS)
• Accessories such as stabilizers, teleprompters, tripods, and camera bags

All equipment must be new, functional, and compliant with the specifications provided in the tender documentation.

Skills and Experience Requirements

Bidders must demonstrate the following:

• Provision of a detailed product specification sheet/brochure/catalogue for all items, including brand, model, and features (60 points)
• Provision of a signed letter confirming warranty and technical assistance availability (20 points)
• At least three (3) contactable references of similar work done, including scope and duration (20 points)

Minimum threshold of 80% on technical functionality must be achieved for the bid to be considered further. Bidders should also provide valid and certified copies of SARS tax clearance, BBBEE certificates or sworn affidavits, company registration documents, ID copies of shareholders and directors, municipal rates and taxes statements, and CIPC registration documents.
