Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply, install, and maintain sanitary bins at KwaZulu Central Provincial Laundry, ensuring proper waste disposal, hygiene, and compliance with health standards over a contract period of three years.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of 13 sanitary bins to be fitted in female change rooms.
• Servicing the bins twice monthly (every 14 days) for 3 years.
• Proper disposal, disinfection, and sterilization of sanitary waste.
• Handling of waste in accordance with hazardous waste disposal standards.
• Regular servicing between 7 am and 12 pm, Monday to Friday.
• Provision of proof of disposal each month (disposal certificate).

Technical Requirements

• Sanitary bins must conform to SABS standards and be fitted in female change rooms.
• Bins must be emptied, disinfected, sanitized, and sterilized regularly.
• All sanitary waste must be handled according to health and safety standards.
• Servicing must be carried out by qualified personnel, preferably female staff; if not, entry permissions must be obtained.
• Disposal of waste must be documented monthly with certification.
• All products supplied must be valid for at least six months.

Skills and Experience Requirements

Bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in servicing sanitary bins, supported by proof such as purchase orders or award letters.
• Capability to handle hazardous waste disposal in compliance with health standards.
• Availability of trained personnel, preferably female, for servicing tasks.
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols related to waste management.
