Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of support materials for vector control, including botanicals, seedlings, lockable bait stations, chemical repellents, and branded banners. The aim is to enhance vector control efforts within the Ehlanzeni District Municipality by providing necessary materials that support disease prevention initiatives.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various vector control support materials as specified in the technical requirements, including:

• Botanical repellents such as lemongrass, marigolds, lavender, and mint.
• Seedlings of marigolds and lavender.
• Lockable bait stations in black color.
• Rodenticide and pheromones.
• Branded banners (backdrop and roll-up banners) with specified messages and artwork.

The materials must meet the detailed specifications provided and be delivered to the designated municipality location by the stipulated deadline.

The technical specifications include:

Item Descriptions and Quantities

• Mint, Lemongrass, Marigolds, Lavender – botanicals repellents (50 units each)
• Seedlings of Marigolds and Lavender (75g each, 50 units)
• Black lockable bait stations (10 units)
• Chemical repellents, pheromones (10 boxes)
• Branded banners:
• Backdrop banner: 3m length with specific messages and artwork
• Roll-up banners: two types with specified messages, sizes (2m height, 1.2m width), and artwork

All banners and artwork will be provided for the design. The total bid amount must be clearly indicated and transferred as the TOTAL BID PRICE.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Potential bidders must demonstrate:

• Compliance with the supply chain management policies and avoidance of fraudulent activities.
• Provision of a valid CSD report not older than three months.
• Business registration and proof of ownership/shareholding, including affidavits confirming bank details if not verified on the CSD report.
• Proof of compliance with tax obligations via SARS registration or TCS certificate.
• Adherence to the Preferential Procurement Policy, including points for enterprise ownership by historically disadvantaged persons, women, youth, persons with disabilities, and implementation of RDP programmes.
• Declaration of interest and past conduct in supply chain practices, ensuring no involvement in corrupt activities or misconduct.
• Ability to supply the specified materials meeting technical standards and artwork requirements.
