Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of PPE uniforms, including various safety and workwear items, to the Ehlanzeni District Municipality. The aim is to ensure the provision of quality PPE uniforms that meet specified standards and requirements for the safety and operational needs of the municipality's personnel.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of a range of PPE items, such as boots, jackets, cargo pants, shirts, hard hats, reflective vests, T-shirts, jackets, waterproof jackets, and storm flaps, as detailed in the specifications section. The contract covers the procurement of these items in specified quantities and sizes, to be delivered to the municipality's designated location.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of PPE items as per the detailed specifications and images provided.
• Items must conform to safety standards and be suitable for occupational use.
• Items should be delivered in specified sizes and quantities, with total quantities outlined in the specifications.
• The total bid amount must be transferred to the MBD1 form as the TOTAL BID PRICE; incomplete pricing will disqualify the bid.
• All items must meet the quality and safety standards required by the municipality.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate:

• Compliance with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) policies, including integrity and non-fraudulent practices.
• Provision of a valid CSD report not older than three months.
• Business registration with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC).
• Tax compliance, including submission of TCS PIN or CSD number.
• Proof of B-BBEE status and enterprise ownership details, especially if claiming preference points based on ownership by disadvantaged groups.
• Ability to meet delivery deadlines and quantities specified in the specifications.
• Adherence to ethical standards, including declaration of interests and past SCM practices.
