Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the maintenance, repair, and technical support of HVAC equipment across various towns, including Engcobo, Cofimvaba, Cala, Lady Frere, Indwe, Dordrecht, Elliot, Bolotwa, Bridge Camp, and Glen Grey, over a duration of 4 months. The aim is to ensure the HVAC systems are operational, compliant with safety standards, and maintained to optimal performance levels throughout the contract period.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Provision of routine maintenance, repairs, and technical servicing of HVAC equipment at designated locations.
• Carrying out emergency repairs as required across the specified towns.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards during all maintenance activities.
• Providing technical documentation such as reports, maintenance logs, and compliance certificates.
• Coordination with the Department of Public Works & Infrastructure for scheduling and site access.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• CIDB contractor grading of at least 1 ME or higher.
• Demonstrated experience in HVAC maintenance on comparable projects within the past 5-10 years.
• Provision of qualified technicians with relevant trade certificates and gas licenses.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations and submission of safety plans prior to commencement.
• Submission of comprehensive project references and proof of previous successful HVAC maintenance projects.
• Availability of adequate tools, equipment, and resources to perform the scope of work efficiently.
• Participation in site inspections and briefing meetings as scheduled.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must possess:

• Technical expertise in HVAC systems, including installation, servicing, and repairs.
• Qualified personnel with trade certificates in refrigeration and air conditioning.
• Gas handling and licensing certification from recognized authorities (e.g., SAQCC Gas).
• Experience in project management and site coordination.
• Ability to produce detailed reports, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards applicable to HVAC maintenance in public sector environments.
• Capacity to respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
