Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for drilling, installing, maintaining, and testing boreholes at Pholela Community Health Centre (CHC) and associated clinics. The aim is to ensure reliable water supply through borehole services, including water quality analysis, equipment testing, and maintenance to meet health standards.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Provision of borehole drilling and installation at Pholela CHC and clinics (Gqumeni, Gwala, Tsats, Mnyamana, Sandanezwe, Sandanezwe, Sandanezwe, Sandanezwe clinics).
• Routine maintenance, testing, and servicing of borehole pumps and electrical systems.
• Water quality sampling and laboratory analysis to ensure water safety for human consumption.
• Replacement or upgrade of borehole controllers where specified.
• Adherence to technical specifications, safety standards, and quality standards (SABS/SANS 825).

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Drilling and installation of boreholes as per attached specifications.
• Testing electrical connections, control boxes, and pump performance before and after servicing.
• Removal, reinstallation, and servicing of submersible pumps.
• Water sampling after a minimum of 3 hours of borehole operation, with analysis conducted by SANAS-accredited laboratories.
• Compliance with specified standards (SABS/SANS 825).
• Replacement of borehole controllers to match existing specifications where required.
• Provision of detailed reports on water quality and pump performance.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Qualified artisans with relevant certifications in electrical and mechanical work, specifically in borehole and pump servicing.
• Experience in borehole drilling, installation, and maintenance.
• Capability to perform water quality testing and interpret laboratory results.
• Knowledge of SANAS accreditation standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Ability to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and replacement of control systems and pumps.
• Provision of verifiable references for similar projects completed successfully.
