Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the service of medical air compressors in accordance with specified standards and requirements. The aim is to ensure the proper maintenance, servicing, and functionality of medical air compressors at Umphumulo Hospital, thereby supporting the hospital's operational needs and compliance with relevant standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of annual servicing for two medical air compressors (Ingersoll Rand Model: 5T2NLM, Serial No: 30T N05010022).
• Service of a single medical air compressor unit as per detailed specifications.
• Technical inspection, maintenance tasks such as oil drainage, filter replacement, belt checks, leak inspections, valve functionality, and water trap cleaning.
• Provision of necessary spare parts, consumables, and labor by qualified technicians with valid certifications.
• Submission of after-service reports and proof of compliance with safety and quality standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Service must be performed by qualified artisans/technicians with valid SAQCC gas registration.
• Proof of CIDB registration and relevant certifications must be provided.
• Visual inspection for defects, oil drainage and replenishment, filter replacement, belt checks, leak detection, valve functionality, and water trap cleaning.
• Use of approved quality standards such as SABS, SANS, and SAQCC.
• Completion of a detailed service report post-maintenance.
• Adherence to the detailed specifications and standards outlined in the tender documentation.

Skills Requirements

The service must be carried out by personnel possessing:

• Valid SAQCC gas registration card.
• Proof of CIDB registration.
• Experience and technical competence in servicing medical air compressors, specifically Ingersoll Rand models or equivalent.
• Ability to perform visual inspections, mechanical repairs, and safety checks according to industry standards.
• Capability to produce detailed after-service reports and documentation.
