Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of oxygen plants and medical gas systems at St Chads Community Health Centre (CHC). The aim is to ensure reliable oxygen supply and proper functioning of medical gas points to support patient care.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and installation of two oxygen plant units with six points each (total 12 points).
• Provision of pig tails for gas points.
• Inspection and checking of end points in consultation rooms and wards.
• Carrying out service and maintenance of the medical gas plant, including leak detection on pig tails and end points, gauge checks, and reporting.
• Ensuring safety protocols and producing safety files prior to commencement.
• Post-service reporting and documentation of work carried out.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Service of medical gas plant with leak checks on pig tails and end points.
• Inspection of gauges and safety devices.
• Provision of detailed after-service reports.
• Compliance with safety standards and approval of equipment (SABS or SANS approved).
• CIDB grading of 1 ME or above is mandatory and must be attached.
• All work to be completed within 7 days of order receipt.
• Service to be performed at the specified site, with all rates inclusive of labour, transport, and profit.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Qualified technical personnel with CIDB grading 1 ME or above.
• Experience in servicing and maintaining medical gas systems and oxygen plants.
• Ability to produce safety files and compliance documentation.
• Capability to carry out leak detection, gauge checks, and report writing.
• Knowledge of relevant standards (SABS/SANS) and safety protocols.
