Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a service to air condition the hospital, specifically focusing on servicing air conditioning units at Manguzi Hospital and its pharmacy. The aim is to ensure the proper functioning, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems to maintain a comfortable and safe environment within the hospital facilities.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Providing servicing and maintenance for air conditioning split and packaged units at Manguzi Hospital.
• Performing minor and major repairs, including inspections, adjustments, cleaning, and replacement of parts as necessary.
• Carrying out scheduled maintenance and repairs in accordance with the specified standards and schedules.
• Ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Inspection and testing of air conditioning units for leaks, refrigerant levels, electrical operation, and safety.
• Checking belts, pulleys, condensate drains, and coils for proper condition and cleanliness.
• Replacing worn or damaged belts, filters, and other components as needed.
• Testing operational safety devices and electrical connections.
• Performing major service checks, including calibration, cleaning, and repairs.
• Providing detailed reports and documentation of service activities, including spare parts used and repairs carried out.
• Adhering to scheduled maintenance protocols and safety standards.

Skills Requirements

The skills required for bidders include:

• Trade test certification in refrigeration and air conditioning.
• Minimum CIDB grade of 1ME or equivalent.
• Experience in servicing hospital air conditioning systems.
• Ability to perform both minor and major repairs, including troubleshooting and calibration.
• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in reading technical specifications, manuals, and service reports.
• Capability to provide technical support and documentation as required.
