Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure servicing of air conditioners at Bruntville CHC and Mpofana Clinic to restore system efficiency, extend the lifespan of the units, and ensure indoor air quality remains safe and healthy.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of competent personnel to perform all duties as per the Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Supply and delivery of all required materials and tools for servicing and re-gassing of air-conditioning units.
• Completion of servicing and re-gassing within one week after order issuance.
• Cleaning or replacement of air filters, checking and adjusting refrigerant levels, inspecting electrical components, compressor, fan motor, evaporator and condenser coils, and calibrating thermostats.
• Checking for leaks and re-gassing units as necessary.
• Proper waste removal and disposal at authorized landfill sites, in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Adherence to safety standards and minimal disruption to hospital operations during works.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Compliance with S.A.B.S. standards and approval.
• Inspection and testing of air-conditioning systems before handover.
• Use of new, unused, and latest pattern equipment and materials, preferably S.A.B.S. marked.
• Guarantee of all work and equipment for a minimum of twelve months from handover.
• Work to be completed within one week from order date.
• Proper documentation, including completion, compliance, and guarantee certificates.
• Adherence to occupational health and safety regulations.

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in servicing and repairing air conditioning systems, supported by valid purchase orders and completion certificates.
• Qualified personnel with relevant technical expertise in HVAC systems.
• Capacity to supply all necessary materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to work within the specified timeframe without disrupting hospital operations.
• Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to waste disposal and electrical safety.
