Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the annual servicing of air conditioners at Ekukhulengeni Psychiatric Hospital. The aim is to ensure that the air conditioning systems are maintained in optimal working condition, which includes fault checking, cleaning filters and drip pipes, checking gas leaks, and providing detailed reports post-service.

Scope

The scope of the project encompasses:

• Servicing of air conditioners at Ekukhulengeni Psychiatric Hospital.
• Inspection and fault diagnosis.
• Cleaning filters and drip pipes.
• Checking the condition of plugs and valves.
• Checking for gas leaks.
• Providing comprehensive reports after completion.
• Carrying out work on-site with the existing equipment and infrastructure.
• Ensuring work is performed in accordance with relevant standards and safety regulations.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Proof of previous purchase orders and completion certificates.
• CIDB GRADE: EB registration.
• Compliance with South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) or South African National Standards (SANS) specifications.
• Provision of a comprehensive report upon completion of servicing.
• Adherence to the specified contract period (generally one week).
• Inspection and supervision by qualified personnel.
• Use of approved or specified equipment and materials.
• Guarantee of service quality for a minimum period (e.g., six months).

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must possess:

• Qualified and experienced technicians with CIDB GRADE: EB credentials.
• Knowledge of South African standards related to air conditioning systems and electrical installations.
• Ability to diagnose faults accurately and perform repairs or maintenance accordingly.
• Capability to prepare detailed reports and documentation post-service.
• Experience in servicing similar systems within healthcare or similar institutional environments.
• Compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
