Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure services for the servicing of air conditioners within the Church of Scotland Hospital. The service aims to ensure that the air conditioning units are maintained according to the attached specifications, including cleaning, checking for leaks, recharging, and ensuring optimal performance of the units.

Scope

The scope encompasses bi-annual servicing of various air conditioning units across multiple departments and locations within the hospital. This includes:

• Servicing of different types of units such as split units, window wall units, ceiling units, and others listed in the detailed specifications.
• Inspection, cleaning, leak detection, recharging, and performance testing of units.
• Specific attention to units in critical areas such as wards, operating theatres, offices, and specialized departments.
• Provision of detailed reports for all serviced units.
• Application of service stickers on all units serviced.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Cleaning of coils, fans, filters, and drainage systems using approved chemicals.
• Electrical checks: tightening connections, testing voltages and amperages, checking for leaks, and recharging refrigerant as needed.
• Mechanical inspections: checking for unusual noises, loose parts, and ensuring safety compliance.
• Leak detection and repair, followed by recharging refrigerant.
• Performance testing on-site to verify proper operation.
• Application of stickers on units post-service.
• Adherence to the detailed specifications attached in the tender documentation.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• Qualified HVAC technicians with experience in servicing various air conditioning units.
• Knowledge of refrigerant handling, leak detection, and electrical testing.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and perform on-site performance testing.
• Capability to prepare detailed service reports and maintain compliance with safety standards.
• Familiarity with hospital environment safety and hygiene protocols.
