Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the servicing of the borehole filtration system and water testing at Maguzu Clinic. The aim is to ensure the proper maintenance, functionality, and water quality compliance of the borehole and associated water treatment systems to provide safe and potable water for the clinic's operations.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Servicing of borehole water filtration systems, including cylinders, booster pumps, and borehole pumps.
• Cleaning and maintenance of water storage tanks.
• Replacement and servicing of filters, chlorinator pills, and cartridges.
• Quarterly water quality testing in accordance with SANS 241 standards.
• Collection of water samples for physio-chemical and bacteriological analysis from a SANS accredited laboratory.
• Provision of all materials, accessories, and labor necessary for complete installation and servicing.
• Ensuring all equipment is fully functional, water is safe for human consumption, and the system is left in an operational state.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that the contractor must:

• Perform servicing of the borehole filtration system and associated equipment as per the specifications.
• Conduct quarterly water testing in line with SANS 241:2015 standards, including sample collection, laboratory analysis, and reporting.
• Remove, service, and replace borehole pumps and booster pumps as needed.
• Replace filters, chlorinator pills, and cartridges, ensuring the system is clean and operational.
• Ensure all water treatment equipment is functioning correctly, with sufficient chemicals and safe water output.
• Collect water samples in appropriate bottles and submit them to a SANS accredited laboratory for analysis.
• Provide documentation of test results and ensure water safety for human consumption.
