Scope

The contract encompasses the supply, transportation, and warranty provision of two units: one portable multimedia projector and one heavy-duty shredder. Delivery must be completed at the designated health centre within six weeks of official order placement. The quotation validity period is ninety days. This is a single-supply transaction with no recurring service contract, governed by standard South African public sector general and special conditions of contract.

Technical Requirements

• Projector: Must be portable and ceiling-mount capable. Features an LED lamp with a minimum brightness of 3000 lumens, projection distance of 1.5m to 8m or greater, and supports both manual and auto zoom/focus. Display must achieve Full HD (1080p) resolution with a contrast ratio of at least 2500:1. Audio compatibility includes MP3, WMA, and AAC formats. Required ports: VGA, HDMI, composite video, audio, USB, and D-sub monitor-out. Inclusive accessories: carrying case, remote control with integrated pointer and batteries, power cable, and both VGA and HDMI cables (minimum 1.5m length). A one-year onsite “next business day” warranty is mandatory.
• Shredding Machine: Classified as heavy-duty. Exact technical specifications are referenced as attached to the original tender documentation.
• General: All supplied items must be brand new, unused, and valid for a minimum of six months upon delivery. Expired or second-hand goods are strictly prohibited. Bidders must submit a detailed itemised quotation covering all costs, warranty terms, and delivery timelines.

Skills Requirements

Bidders must demonstrate proven capability in public sector procurement compliance, including accurate completion of official government quotation forms, Central Suppliers Database (CSD) verification, and SARS tax clearance validation. Suppliers require robust logistical networks to guarantee delivery within the six-week timeframe and established local service infrastructure capable of fulfilling next-business-day onsite warranty claims. Proficiency in preferential procurement scoring mechanisms, conflict-of-interest disclosures, and formal bidding documentation is essential.
