Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure electrical repair services for HVAC systems at Victoria Mxenge Hospital, specifically for systems labeled as SOT HVAC 2 and 7. The work aims to restore functionality of the HVAC theatre systems, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Electrical repairs and electrical repairs related to HVAC systems 2 and 7 at Victoria Mxenge Hospital.
• Site inspection and site briefing sessions as specified.
• Provision of all necessary materials, labor, and technical services required for the electrical repairs.
• Adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards during the execution of work.

Technical Requirements

The technical scope involves:

• Restoration of HVAC systems 2 and 7, including repair of motors, fans, PCBs, controllers, and associated electrical components.
• Compliance with specified standards such as SANS 1850 for HVAC systems.
• Use of CIDB registered companies and trade-tested artisans with relevant certifications.
• Provision of detailed work plans, safety plans, and adherence to site safety protocols.
• Completion of all repairs within the stipulated contract period, with a guarantee of at least 6 months for repairs and 12 months for replaced items.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• Trade-tested artisans certified in electrical work, with certified copies of qualifications.
• Experience in HVAC electrical repairs, demonstrated by at least five previous similar projects.
• CIDB registration at the required category.
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and ability to prepare safety and work plans.
• Ability to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and software fault finding, especially for HVAC controllers.
• Competence in providing detailed documentation, including invoices, work reports, and safety compliance certificates.
