Objectives

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various staff uniforms including shirts, trousers, skirts, jackets, jerseys, socks, safety shoes, and other related items as detailed in the specifications. The procurement covers multiple categories of apparel for both male and female staff, with specifications tailored to different sizes, materials, and features, to be supplied once-off or as specified. The tender applies to all items listed in the detailed specifications and includes the provision of samples, compliance with standards, and adherence to delivery timelines.

Technical Requirements

• Compliance with detailed specifications for each item, including materials, sizes, colors, and features (e.g., fabric weight, stretch, durability, safety features).
• Items must meet quality standards specified, such as fabric composition, construction, and finishing.
• Samples of each item must be submitted for evaluation prior to final approval.
• Items must be delivered in accordance with specified packaging, labeling, and documentation requirements.
• Items must conform to relevant standards such as SANAS/ISO 20345 for safety shoes, and other applicable health and safety standards.
• All apparel must be new, unused, and of the latest models unless otherwise specified.
• Pricing must be firm and inclusive of all costs, with VAT where applicable.
• Delivery timelines and quantities must adhere to the specifications and be supported by a clear delivery plan.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying healthcare uniforms and apparel, with demonstrated capacity to meet technical specifications and delivery deadlines.
• Ability to produce or source garments that meet quality and safety standards, including compliance with relevant industry certifications.
• Capability to provide samples, technical documentation, and quality assurance reports.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures, including adherence to the Preferential Procurement Regulations and related policies.
• Qualified personnel for technical inspection, quality control, and compliance verification.
• Effective logistics and supply chain management skills to ensure timely delivery and proper handling of goods.
