Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply electrical materials required for Ngwelezana Hospital, ensuring that the hospital's maintenance and operational needs are met with quality standards and compliance to specifications.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of electrical materials as detailed in the attached list. It includes all necessary components, accessories, and related items required for hospital maintenance. The procurement is a once-off supply, with the possibility of additional requirements subject to future needs, but the current scope is limited to the attached list for Ngwelezana Hospital.

Technical Requirements

• Materials must conform to SANS standards and be approved for hospital use.
• Items must meet the detailed specifications provided in the attached specification form, including size, color, material, and quality standards.
• Samples may be requested for evaluation; all supplied items must pass inspection and testing as per the specifications.
• All materials must be new, unused, and incorporate the latest design improvements unless specified otherwise.
• Delivery must be timely, within a maximum of 3 weeks from the date of award.
• All packaging and documentation must comply with contractual and safety standards.

Skills and Skills Requirements

• Suppliers must demonstrate technical competence in electrical materials and hospital-grade electrical supplies.
• Bidder personnel should have knowledge of relevant standards (SANS) and hospital safety requirements.
• Technical support and after-sales service capabilities are desirable, including the ability to provide installation guidance and technical assistance.
• Experience in supplying electrical materials to healthcare facilities or similar institutions is preferred.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including preference points and BBBEE certification, is mandatory.
