Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver various hardware items and equipment to Benedictine Hospital and Mandlakazi Clinic within the KwaZulu-Natal Province. Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of a wide range of hardware and related items, including soap dispensers, wheelie bins, water coolers, wall frames, pin boards, safes, whiteboards, clocks, hooks, waste bins, sanitary towel disposal bins, urns, suggestion boxes, wall clocks, ladder hooks, lockable toilet paper dispensers, gun safes, mirrors, towel dispensers, and various other equipment as detailed in the specifications. The items are to be delivered to Benedictine Hospital and Mandlakazi Clinic, with specific requirements for packaging, compliance, and standards.

Technical Requirements

• Items must conform to the detailed specifications provided, including size, material, colour, and functionality.
• All hardware must meet SABS standards and be approved accordingly.
• Items such as soap dispensers should be stainless steel with plastic inner components, lockable, refillable, and suitable for liquid soap.
• Wheelie bins must be 120L capacity, heavy-duty, UV resistant, with rubber wheels and hinged lids.
• Water coolers should be free-standing, capable of dispensing hot and cold water, with adjustable thermostats and compressor cooling.
• Wall frames, pin boards, clocks, hooks, and other fixtures must meet specified dimensions and quality standards.
• All items must be delivered within the specified contract period, with proper packing to prevent damage during transit.
• Suppliers must provide samples if required and attach relevant documentation, including compliance certificates and addendums.

Skills and Competencies Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying hardware and medical equipment to government or similar institutions.
• Ability to meet detailed technical specifications and standards, including SABS approval.
• Capacity to deliver within stipulated timelines and handle logistics efficiently.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures, including filling out official forms, disclosing interests, and adhering to the procurement policies.
• Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including tax clearance, BBBEE status, and disclosure of interests.
