Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a service provider to supply and deliver 30,000 liters of potable water to Floukraal SAPS, ensuring timely and safe delivery in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards. Additionally, the tender aims to establish a contractual framework for ongoing supply, including provisions for emergency deliveries and water quality assurance.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply and delivery of 30,000 liters of potable drinking water to Floukraal SAPS.
• Provision of water in compliance with SANS 241 standards.
• Delivery to specified facilities via water tankers, with access via tarred and gravel roads.
• On-site sampling and inspection before refilling tanks.
• Provision of necessary documentation, including signed job cards, PA-11 forms, and proof of water purchase.
• Adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards during delivery.
• Provision for emergency and urgent deliveries within 24 hours of appointment.

Technical Requirements

• Delivery of 30,000 liters of potable water in accordance with SANS 241 standards.
• Water must be sourced from accredited district municipalities or boreholes with valid registration, yield tests, and water quality reports.
• Water tankers must be fitted with water pumps, level indicators, and capacity markings visible from a distance of 3 meters.
• Delivery must be supervised by departmental officials, with on-site sampling before refilling.
• All delivery and sampling activities must be documented with signed job cards and PA-11 forms.
• Service providers must ensure safety PPE for staff and proper vehicle maintenance.
• Provision for re-delivery if contaminated or dirty water is delivered.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in the supply and delivery of potable water using water tankers.
• Knowledge of water quality standards and compliance with SANS 241.
• Ability to source water from certified suppliers or boreholes with proper documentation.
• Competence in operating water tanker equipment, including pumps and level indicators.
• Capacity to perform on-site sampling, inspection, and documentation of water quality.
• Adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations during water delivery.
• Ability to respond promptly to emergency delivery requests within 24 hours.
