Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supplier capable of providing and delivering 40 office chairs that meet specified standards and specifications, ensuring quality, compliance, and value for money for the Umzimyathi District Office under the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of 40 office chairs with specific features such as a square tube steel frame, high-density foam seats, medium-density foam backs, and no chair mechanism. The delivery must be made to 34 Wilson Street, Dundee, within the contract period, which is once-off. The tender also includes compliance with technical specifications, adherence to procurement policies, and submission of all required documentation.

  • Chair mechanism: No Mechanism
• Conformity to specified standards and specifications as per the attached product description and approved by the end-user.
• Delivery to be completed within the specified contract period.
• Compliance with VAT and tax regulations, preference policies, and procurement legislation.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying office furniture, specifically office chairs, to government or large institutional clients.
• Ability to demonstrate compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
• Capacity to meet delivery deadlines and handle logistics efficiently.
• Knowledge of procurement policies, including preferential procurement and BBBEE requirements.
• Capability to provide necessary documentation such as tax clearance, CSD registration, and preference claim forms.
• Ability to participate in compulsory site inspections and submit samples if required.
• Understanding of contractual obligations, including warranty, after-sales support, and compliance with applicable legislation.
