Objectives

The primary objective is to procure and deliver comfortable, designated seating for staff and visitors at the Sundumbili Community Health Centre. The procurement seeks to achieve value for money while advancing provincial health infrastructure needs and supporting socio-economic transformation through targeted preferential procurement policies.

Scope

This is a once-off supply contract requiring the sourcing, packaging, and delivery of thirty-nine (39) high-back visitors chairs to the designated health centre. The scope covers full delivery to site, including unloading, and includes a twelve-month warranty against defects in design, materials, or workmanship. Pricing must be firm, inclusive of all delivery costs, and valid for ninety days. The contract is subject to standard general and special conditions governing delivery timelines, penalties for late performance, termination rights, and dispute resolution.

Technical Requirements

• Product Specifications: High-back visitors office chairs equipped with armrests and a sleigh base. Upholstery must be fabric or mesh net, available in black or maroon.
• Quality & Condition: All items must be brand new, unused, and compliant with applicable South African National Standards (SANS/SABS). Second-hand or refurbished goods are strictly prohibited.
• Delivery & Packaging: Goods must be securely packaged to withstand transit and storage conditions. Bidders must specify their delivery timeframe. Products must have a minimum remaining shelf life of six months upon delivery.
• Documentation & Compliance: Submission of fully completed official quotation forms, SBD 4 (Bidder Disclosure), SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim), updated CIPC registration documents, B-BBEE status certificates or sworn affidavits, and Central Suppliers Database (CSD) verification reports is mandatory. Tax clearance compliance is required prior to award.

Skills Requirements

No specialised professional certifications or technical trade qualifications are mandated. However, bidders must demonstrate proven operational capacity by providing at least one valid order confirmation and corresponding delivery note evidencing prior supply of similar furniture to a public or private healthcare facility. Bidders must also possess adequate logistical coordination skills to manage timely delivery, handle provincial health supply chain documentation accurately, and maintain ongoing tax compliance throughout the contract period.
