Objectives

Scope

The scope also encompasses compliance with all technical, legal, and environmental requirements related to the procurement and waste management during delivery.

Technical Requirements

• Product: Concrete hollow blocks (MB190) with dimensions 190x190x390 mm.
• Material: Grey cement, SABS approved, with a compressive strength of 3.8 MPa.
• Coverage: 12.5 blocks per square meter.
• Quality: Must conform to specified dimensions and standards as per BOQ.
• Pricing: Must include delivery charges; prices should be per item or bill of quantities.
• Delivery: To be completed within 7 days of official order to the specified delivery address.
• Packaging and waste: Contractors must manage on-site waste, store construction debris properly, and dispose of waste at registered landfill sites, providing disposal certificates upon project completion.

Skills Requirements

• Registration: Suppliers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide proof of registration.
• Documentation: Completion and signing of mandatory forms including Declaration of Interest (MBD 4), Preference Points Claim (MBD 6.1), and Certificate of Independent Bid Determination (MBD 9).
• Compliance: Ability to prepare quotations on business letterhead, adhere to specifications, and include all relevant documentation.
• Legal and Administrative: Knowledge of procurement policies, waste management regulations, and contractual obligations.
• Preference and Locality Claims: Ability to provide proof for B-BBEE status and local business operations to claim preference points.
• Waste Management: Skills in managing construction waste and ensuring environmental compliance during delivery and project execution.
