Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supplier capable of providing and delivering cleaning materials as specified in the scope. The aim is to ensure a reliable supply of quality cleaning products to meet the municipality's operational needs.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various cleaning materials, including:

• Cleaner bleach (5L)
• Insecticide aerosol cans (180mm)
• Air freshener spray aerosol cans (180ml)
• Furniture polish (180ml cans)
• Demestos (750ml)
• Pine gel (5L tubs)

Delivery must be made in accordance with the specifications and quantities listed in the pricing schedule, to the designated municipal locations.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of new, unused, and current model products with all recent design and material improvements.
• Goods must be free from defects arising from design, materials, or workmanship, suitable for normal use in the municipality's environment.
• Suppliers must provide appropriate packing to prevent damage during transit, with proper labeling and documentation.
• Delivery must be in accordance with the specified conditions, including timely submission of shipping and delivery documents.
• Suppliers are responsible for insuring goods against loss or damage during transportation and storage.
• Warranty period of 12 months from delivery or 18 months from shipment, whichever concludes earlier.
• Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and municipal procurement policies.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

The supplier must demonstrate:

• Registration on the Knysna Municipality Accredited Supplier Database and the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Valid tax clearance certificate and proof of tax compliance.
• Relevant CIDB registration (if applicable), with a validity period of at least 90 days.
• Ability to provide detailed itemized pricing and breakdowns as per the pricing schedule.
• Experience in supplying similar cleaning materials to municipal or public sector entities.
• Capacity to deliver within the specified timeframe and meet quality standards.
• Understanding of the procurement process and adherence to the municipality’s supply chain management policies.
• Declaration of interest and compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including anti-corruption and fair practice policies.
