Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver coffins to Knysna Municipality, ensuring timely and quality provision of goods in accordance with specified standards and requirements.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of coffins, specifically pauper coffins with a diameter of 600mm (2FT). The procurement includes the entire process from ordering to delivery at the designated municipal sites, adhering to the specifications and conditions outlined in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of pauper coffins with a diameter of 600mm (2FT).
• Delivery to specified municipal locations in accordance with the contract terms.
• Goods must be new, unused, and of the latest models, incorporating recent design and material improvements.
• All goods shall be free from defects arising from design, materials, or workmanship, valid for 12 months after delivery or 18 months after shipment.
• Suppliers must provide appropriate packing to prevent damage during transit and comply with shipping and documentation requirements.
• Insure goods against loss or damage during transportation and storage.
• Compliance with all relevant specifications, standards, and legal requirements as specified in the tender documentation.

Skills and Competencies Requirements

• Proven experience in the supply and delivery of coffins or similar goods.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and delivery deadlines.
• Knowledge of municipal procurement procedures and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Capacity to provide quality assurance, including warranties and after-sales support.
• Competence in handling logistics, packing, and documentation for transportation.
• Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing municipal procurement and supply chain management.
• Ability to complete and submit all required documentation, including tax compliance, BBBEE status, and declaration forms.
