Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver consumables as specified by Knysna Municipality, ensuring timely procurement of quality goods to support municipal operations.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various consumables, including items such as trimmer line, cutter bar oil, two-stroke oil, bearings, blades, bolts, and nuts, with a total RFQ price not exceeding R30,000. The procurement involves the complete process from order placement to delivery at designated municipal sites.

Technical Requirements

• Items must meet the specifications outlined in the RFQ documentation.
• Suppliers must provide goods that are new, unused, and of the latest models, free from defects.
• All items must be properly packed to prevent damage during transit and storage.
• Delivery must be in accordance with the agreed schedule and conditions specified in the contract.
• Suppliers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations, including local content requirements and municipal regulations.
• Suppliers must furnish all necessary documentation, including tax clearance certificates, B-BBEE verification, and municipal accounts.

Skills and Competencies Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying and delivering consumables or similar goods to municipal or public sector entities.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and quality standards specified in the RFQ.
• Competence in managing logistics and timely delivery within the stipulated deadlines.
• Knowledge of municipal procurement procedures and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Capability to provide necessary supporting documentation, such as tax compliance, B-BBEE status, and municipal account clearance.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with municipal officials and adherence to contractual obligations.
