Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of EPWP (Expanded Public Works Programme) uniforms to Emadlangeni Local Municipality, ensuring that the uniforms meet specified standards and branding requirements to support municipal programs and initiatives.

Scope

The scope includes the provision of various uniform items such as work suits, safety boots, hats, cricket hats, T-shirts, jackets, and related accessories, all branded with EPWP and Emadlangeni logos. The contract covers the supply, branding, and delivery of these items to the municipality within specified quantities and timeframes, adhering to technical and quality standards outlined in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of work suits (trousers and jackets) in specified colours (primarily yellow, olive, navy) and sizes, embroidered with EPWP logos and municipality emblems.
• Provision of safety boots with steel toes in black and grey, matching specified sizes and styles (including equivalent brands like Hi-Tech Chelsea).
• Supply of hats and cricket hats in yellow, embroidered with EPWP logos.
• Branded T-shirts in yellow with EPWP branding, including specific embroidery details (EPWP initials on the back, logos on the front).
• Delivery of all items within the agreed timeframe, with prices inclusive of VAT and delivery costs.
• Compliance with quality standards, branding, and packaging specifications as detailed in the tender documents.

Skills and Skills Requirements

Suitable service providers must demonstrate:

• Experience in supplying and delivering uniforms and related apparel, with proof of at least five similar projects within the last five years.
• Provision of appointment letters or purchase orders for similar services, with a minimum of three documented instances.
• Capability to produce embroidered and branded apparel according to specified branding standards.
• Knowledge of and compliance with municipal procurement policies, including registration in the Municipal Suppliers Database and CSD.
• Understanding of technical specifications for safety footwear and uniforms, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Ability to meet delivery deadlines and handle bulk orders efficiently.
