Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit suitable and capable service providers to supply and deliver EPWP (Expanded Public Works Programme) uniforms, including work suits, safety boots, hats, T-shirts, jackets, and related accessories, with branding and embroidery as specified.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various uniform items such as work trousers, safety boots, hats, T-shirts, jackets, and other apparel with specific branding, embroidery, and specifications. The items are intended for public works employees under the EPWP initiative, with detailed requirements for sizes, colors, branding, and quality standards. Delivery must be made to the specified destination within the stipulated timeframe, including all associated costs and compliance with technical and administrative conditions.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of work suits, trousers, safety boots (with steel toe), hats, T-shirts, jackets, and related items as per the specifications provided.
• Items must include branding such as logos, EPWP initials, and municipality emblems, embroidered or printed as specified.
• Uniforms should meet quality standards, durability, and safety requirements, including steel toe safety boots.
• Items must be delivered within the agreed delivery period, with all costs included in the bid price.
• All uniforms and accessories must conform to the specified sizes, colors, and branding instructions, including embroidery and logo placement.
• Suppliers must provide proof of previous similar service delivery, with a minimum of three appointment letters or orders within the last five years.
• Compliance with the technical specifications regarding materials, branding, and safety features is mandatory.

Skills and Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying and delivering uniforms and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) within the last five years.
• Ability to produce embroidered and branded uniforms according to detailed specifications.
• Capacity to handle bulk orders efficiently and deliver within tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to PPE, especially safety boots with steel toes.
• Competence in quality assurance, including inspection, testing, and compliance with technical standards.
• Registration and compliance with municipal and central suppliers databases.
• Ability to provide valid tax and company registration documentation, including CIPC registration, tax PIN, and proof of previous similar contracts.
• Understanding of procurement policies, preference point systems, and bid submission procedures.
