Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver furniture for the Demand Section, ensuring procurement in accordance with specified technical and administrative requirements. The bid aims to select a suitable supplier through an 80/20 scoring system, emphasizing price competitiveness and B-BBEE status.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision and delivery of various furniture items, including functional chairs, workstations, conference tables, visitor chairs, and other related office furnishings as detailed in the tender documents. The delivery must be made to the specified location in Cape Town by the stipulated deadline.

Technical Requirements

• Furniture must meet specified descriptions, such as fabric upholstery, chrome or veneer finishes, adjustable arms, and other features as detailed in Annexures A-1, A-2, B-3, and D-1.
• All furniture items should be 100% locally produced and support disability empowerment initiatives.
• Items must comply with the specified dimensions, materials, and quality standards outlined in the annexures.
• Proof of compliance with technical specifications and quality standards must be provided upon request.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Potential bidders must demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

• Registration on the National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Submission of valid BBBEE certificates or sworn affidavits supporting B-BBEE claims.
• Provision of relevant documentation to substantiate specific goal claims, such as ownership by black people, women, youth, or persons with disabilities.
• Experience in supplying office furniture and related products, supported by references or previous contracts.
• Capacity to deliver the specified furniture items within the stipulated timeframe and to the required standards.
