Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver spare parts for MCC panels to Knysna Municipality, ensuring the availability of essential components for maintenance and operational efficiency of MCC panels.

Scope

The scope includes the procurement, supply, and delivery of various spare parts for MCC panels as detailed in the pricing schedule. The parts include transformers, circuit breakers, relays, contact blocks, timers, DIN rails, trunking, relays, motor starters, and other related components necessary for MCC panel maintenance.

Additionally, the scope covers compliance with technical and contractual requirements, including warranty, inspection, and delivery conditions as specified in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of specified spare parts as per the detailed descriptions and quantities listed in the pricing schedule.
• All goods must be new, unused, and conform to current models with recent design improvements.
• Goods must be free from defects in design, materials, or workmanship for a warranty period of 12 months (or as specified).
• Items must meet the specifications outlined, including voltage, current ratings, and compatibility with existing MCC panels.
• Suppliers must provide necessary documentation such as blueprints, drawings, and specifications upon termination of production or if required.
• Delivery must adhere to the specified schedule, with goods properly packed to prevent damage during transit.
• All supplies are subject to inspection, testing, and analysis to ensure compliance with contract requirements.

Skills and Competencies Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying electrical spare parts, particularly for MCC panels.
• Technical expertise in electrical components, panel maintenance, and compatibility standards.
• Ability to provide technical documentation, warranty services, and after-sales support.
• Knowledge of relevant South African standards, regulations, and municipal procurement policies.
• Capacity to meet delivery deadlines and ensure quality assurance through inspection and testing.
• Compliance with legal and tax requirements, including tax clearance and BBBEE certification.
• Demonstrated understanding of supply chain management, including proper packing, transportation, and handling of electrical components.
