The primary objective of this tender is to procure a calibrated horse weighing scale for use in the NHLS Sandringham Campus stables. The scale aims to accurately determine the body weight of horses involved in plasma production to ensure appropriate feeding, monitor health status, regulate plasma collection volumes, and meet IDEXX testing and quality assurance standards. Accurate weight measurement is essential for animal welfare, production efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
The scope includes the supply and delivery of a suitable horse weighing scale with specific technical specifications, along with calibration, maintenance, and data recording capabilities. The scale will be used within the antivenom production facility and must be mobile, durable, easy to clean, and capable of withstanding stable conditions. The procurement also covers associated accessories such as LCD display, printer, calibration certificates, and a maintenance program for three years.
