Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supplier capable of providing, installing, and fitting a container for filing and storage purposes at Mabedlane Clinic, specifically at Nkonjeni Hospital. The project aims to enhance record management and storage efficiency within the clinic environment.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply and installation of a storage container measuring approximately 6m in length, 2.5m in width, and 2.4m in height.
• Construction of a reinforced concrete foundation and brick walls as per detailed specifications.
• Provision of electrical and plumbing connections, including air conditioning units and lighting.
• Fitting of windows, doors, shelves, and ventilation features within the container.
• Application of paint and waterproofing to ensure durability and rodent-proofing.
• Compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements outlined in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

1. Container Specifications:
   • Size: 6m (L) x 2.5m (B) x 2.4m (H)
   • Material: Suitable for damp, water-tight, and rodent-proof storage
   • Features: Aluminium windows with shatterproof glass, double swing steel door with lock, minimum of 4 air vents, fixed steel shelves, and waterproof flooring
2. Construction and Foundation:
   • Excavation and trenching as per site requirements
   • Reinforced concrete slab (20 MPa) and brick walls with specified reinforcement
   • Backfilling with compacted soil and concrete
3. Electrical and Plumbing:
   • Installation of electrical wiring, DB board, and lighting fixtures
   • Connection of air conditioning units and ventilation systems
   • Provision of water supply and plumbing pipes
4. Painting and Waterproofing:
   • Application of two coats of dove grey paint externally and white paint internally
   • Waterproofing of floors and damp-proofing of the container
5. Compliance:
   • Adherence to specifications, safety standards, and quality assurance processes
   • Issuance of certificates of compliance for electrical connections
