Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and install external and internal signage boards at Vryheid Hospital, ensuring clear, compliant, and effective signage as per hospital specifications and standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and installation of external signage boards, including exit signs, directional signs, pictograms, and other relevant signage components.
• Supply and installation of internal signage, such as theatre exit signs, corridor signs, office labels, and safety signage.
• Adherence to specified standards, including SABS standards, and compliance with hospital and departmental signage specifications.
• Provision of signage for various hospital departments and areas, including theatres, CSSD, OPD, wards, and administrative offices.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• Signage must conform to the attached specifications, size, colour, material, and quality standards (e.g., SABS).
• All signage must be durable, weather-resistant, and suitable for hospital environments.
• Signage should include appropriate pictograms, arrows, and directional indicators as detailed in the specifications.
• Installation must be carried out professionally, ensuring visibility, clarity, and compliance with safety standards.
• Samples may be required for approval prior to full installation.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in manufacturing and installing hospital signage or similar environments.
• Technical capability to produce signage that meets specified standards and specifications.
• Qualified personnel for installation, including safety and compliance adherence.
• Ability to provide quality assurance, including sample approval and post-installation inspection.
• Knowledge of relevant signage legislation, standards (e.g., SABS), and hospital safety protocols.
