Objectives

The primary objective is to procure, deliver, and professionally install multimedia projector systems at two designated boardrooms within Umgeni Hospital. The supply aims to support administrative meetings, training sessions, and presentation activities through reliable, high-quality visual equipment.

Scope of Work

The contract encompasses the supply and delivery of two Acer multimedia projectors, along with the complete installation of overhead projector mounting structures and pull-down screens at the Admin and Finance Boardrooms. Scope includes structural ceiling mounting using specified aluminium frameworks, electrical cabling from the distribution board, HDMI signal routing, provision of all necessary accessories, and issuance of electrical compliance documentation. Pricing must be fully inclusive of labour, materials, scaffolding, transport, and VAT. Delivery is required within six weeks of order placement.

Technical Requirements

• Projector Specifications: LED light source, minimum 3000 lumens brightness, 1.5m to 8m projection distance, manual/auto focus, Full HD 1080p resolution, contrast ratio of at least 2500:1, and support for MP3, WMA, and AAC audio formats.
• Connectivity: Mandatory ports include VGA, HDMI, composite video, audio, USB, and D-sub 15 pin monitor outputs.
• Accessories: Each unit must include a carrying case, remote control with pointer and batteries, power cable, warranty documentation, and user guides.
• Installation Components: Certified pull-down screen (approximately 305x231cm), stainless steel fixings, PVC conduit for power lines, and wall trucking for HDMI cables.
• Compliance & Warranty: All goods must comply with SABS standards. Suppliers must provide a one-year onsite next-business-day warranty.

Skills & Qualification Requirements

• Minimum CIDB grading of 1EP for electrical engineering works.
• Valid Electrician Artisan qualification certificate (trade test).
• Documented proof of prior experience in similar projector and screen installation projects.
• Active Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration and a valid SARS tax clearance PIN.
• Ability to safely execute structural mounting, electrical wiring, cable management, and issue statutory compliance certificates.
