Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply, deliver, install, and commission various kitchen equipment at Livingstone Tertiary Hospital and PE Provincial Hospital for a period of twelve (12) months. The scope includes procurement of industrial cooking equipment, electrical appliances, food service equipment, and water heating devices to enhance hospital kitchen operations.

Scope

The scope covers the following key areas:

• Supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of:
• Steam jacketed static pots (350L capacity) with specified features and warranty.
• Electrical appliances including fridges (manual double door top mount, bar/under counter), microwaves, electric urns, hydroboils, convection ovens, industrial bowl cutters, and potato peelers.
• Food service equipment such as hot cupboards and convection ovens.
• Water heating equipment (hydroboil with specified features).

The equipment must be assembled, connected, tested for functionality, and staff trained on operation. The scope also includes optional maintenance plans post-warranty period.

Technical Requirements

Cooking Equipment (Steam Jacketed Static Pots)

• Self-generating steam, electrically heated
• Grade 304 stainless steel inner pan, base, and curb
• Fibreglass insulation ≥40mm
• 350L capacity, 400V, 36Kw power consumption (52A per phase)
• Features such as hinged domed lid, breather tube, side-mounted swivel water filler tap
• Certificate of conformity from manufacturer
• Warranty: 2 years factory, 1-year guarantee for faults and call outs

Electrical Appliances

• Manual double door fridge: 156L capacity, adjustable tempered glass shelves, white/silver, 12 months warranty
• Bar/under counter fridge: approx. 92-93L, with freezer component, adjustable shelves, white/titanium silver, 12 months warranty
• Microwave: industrial type, with adjustable shelves
• Electric urn: 16L capacity, stainless steel, 1000W, with safety features, 12 months warranty
• Hydroboil: 10L capacity, digital control, surge protection, 1-year warranty

Food Service Equipment

• Food service hot cupboard: stainless steel, 15mm insulation, thermostat up to 70°C, 3kW, 230V, 1-phase, with 1-year guarantee
• Convection oven: capacity of 10 trays, LED lighting, steam generator, double-glazed door, with 1-year guarantee

Additional Technical Requirements

• Equipment assembly, connection, testing, and staff training by service provider
• Provision of compliance certificates and manuals
• Optional maintenance plans for up to 5 years after warranty

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying and installing commercial kitchen equipment
• Capability to assemble, connect, and commission complex industrial kitchen systems
• Ability to train hospital staff on equipment operation and maintenance
• Provision of detailed brochures, photos, and manuals for quoted items
• Compliance with quality standards and certification requirements
• Experience in providing after-sales support and maintenance services
