Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of stackable chairs that meet specified technical standards, ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory requirements for the community services department of Drakenstein Municipality.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of stackable chairs, including their supply, delivery, and compliance with technical specifications outlined in the tender documents. The procurement is targeted at suppliers registered on the municipality’s database, with a bid value between R30,000 and R300,000 (including VAT).

Technical Requirements

• The chairs must be stackable, durable, and meet the minimum technical specifications provided in the tender.
• All prices must be VAT inclusive, and the VAT registration number of the supplier must be provided.
• Suppliers must submit a signed technical compliance declaration confirming understanding and adherence to specifications.
• Suppliers are required to provide a firm price schedule (MBD 3.1) with detailed unit prices and total bid price.
• The supply and delivery must be completed within the specified delivery period.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate the ability to supply and deliver stackable chairs that meet the technical specifications.
• Proven experience in supplying similar goods to municipal or public sector entities is preferred.
• Bidder must be registered on the Drakenstein Municipality’s supplier database.
• Bidder must have the capacity to comply with all regulatory and tax compliance requirements, including SARS registration and tax clearance.
• Applicants should possess the necessary administrative and logistical skills to ensure timely delivery and compliance with contractual obligations.
