The primary objective is to supply and install a stand-alone desktop public address (PA) system at the Patient Administration Office (Admitting Counter) of Newcastle Regional Hospital. The system will enable admitting personnel to efficiently call patients to the front desk.
The contractor will deliver a complete, operational PA setup within a one-week contract period. Responsibilities include delivering all specified equipment, installing the amplifier, ceiling speakers, desktop microphone, and cabling, conducting system testing, and adjusting audio levels. Upon completion, the contractor must restore the work area to its original condition. All work must adhere to strict occupational health and safety standards, including the submission and approval of a site-specific safety plan prior to commencement.
CIDB Grade SF: A specialist works grading issued by the Construction Industry Development Board, certifying that a contractor possesses the technical capacity and financial capability to execute specialized electrical or mechanical installations.
Remeasurable Bill: A pricing model where final payment is calculated based on the actual measured quantities of work completed, rather than a predetermined fixed amount.
80/20 Preference Point System: A South African public procurement evaluation framework allocating eighty percent of scoring weight to price competitiveness and twenty percent to socio-economic goals, such as black economic empowerment status.
SBD Documentation: Standardized government forms used to verify legal compliance, declare conflicts of interest, claim preference points, and confirm tax and regulatory standing.

Most large tenders are composed of tasks in a number of different fields, and it is not always possible for a single company to cater for all of them, and therefore Joint Ventures and Consortia are formed to then submit a tender together.
Government tenders are also requiring the subcontracting of a percentage of the tender work, and the trouble is then finding Subcontractors to comply with the tender requirements
To assist companies with finding tender partners and subcontractors, you can now submit your contact details and company information on this page, so other interested parties can contact you for purposes of forming Joint Ventures and subcontracting
