Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure traffic personal protective clothing for the Blouberg Municipality for the year 2025/2026. The procurement aims to ensure that traffic personnel are equipped with appropriate, durable, and compliant uniforms and accessories that meet safety and branding standards.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of a comprehensive range of traffic uniforms and accessories, including:

• Combat trousers, step-out trousers, and combat shirts
• Magnum shirts (short and long sleeve), winter jackets, and jerseys
• Reflective jackets, rail jackets, and reflective gear
• Headgear such as caps, hats, and belts
• Footwear including boots and shoes
• Accessories like socks, ties, epaulettes, shoulder flashes, badges, and ceremonial uniforms
• Specialized items such as jump suits, reflective jackets, and ceremonial tunics

The items are intended for traffic personnel, law enforcement, and related staff, with specifications covering styles, materials, branding, and safety features.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that all items must adhere to the following standards:

• Use of specified materials such as polyester, cotton blends, ripstop fabric, acrylic, leather, and reflective tapes
• Design features including epaulettes, dummy cuffs, reflective strips, waterproofing, and adjustable fittings
• Branding with embroidered or printed Blouberg Traffic star logos and name tags
• Items must be fully washable, durable, and suitable for operational use in traffic management
• Samples must be provided for approval prior to bulk purchase
• All garments and accessories must meet safety and quality standards as per the specifications provided
