Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and deliver various types of uniforms and safety footwear for staff at Itshelejuba Hospital. The items include uniforms for different departments such as pharmacy, mortuary, maintenance, and drivers, as well as safety boots, socks, and PPE gear. Scope

The scope encompasses the supply, delivery, and possibly the fitting of a wide range of uniforms and safety footwear, including:

• Uniforms for pharmacy, mortuary, maintenance, and drivers (shirts, trousers, skirts, overalls, scrub suits, etc.)
• Safety boots and shoes (black, steel toe-cap, anti-slip, water-resistant)
• Socks (antibacterial, reinforced heel and toe)
• Specialized uniforms such as EPWP overalls, safety jackets, and PPE gear
• Accessories like rain suits, v-neck jerseys, and lab coats

The procurement is for a one-time contract with the possibility of future orders, subject to the terms specified.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Items must conform to specified standards (e.g., SABS approved safety boots, high-quality fabrics)
• Uniforms must meet detailed specifications such as fabric type, color, embroidery of the Department of Health logo, and design features (e.g., pockets, zippers, slit details)
• Items must be durable, machine-washable, fade-resistant, and compliant with safety standards
• Samples may be requested prior to award

• Delivery must be within the specified contract period, and in accordance with the delivery schedule
