Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a Panel of qualified security service providers to deliver security services to uMgungundlovu District Municipality over a period of three (3) years.

Scope

The scope involves the provision of comprehensive security services, including but not limited to security personnel, control room operations, vehicle security, firearm management, and related security functions within the uMgungundlovu District Municipality. The successful service providers will be part of a panel to support the municipality's security needs during the contract period.

Technical Requirements

• Submission of certified copies of valid ICASA license, PSIRA Letter of Good Standing, and PSIRA Grade A certification.
• Control room situated within KZN, satellite in uMgungundlovu, PSIRA compliant, and fully operational.
• Firearm registration certificates and valid firearm licenses (minimum 10 rifles, 5 shotguns, 10 pistols) registered under the tendering company.
• Public Liability Insurance policy with a minimum cover of R5 million.
• Police clearance certificates.
• ISO 9001 certification or proof of application.
• Logbooks for each vehicle (minimum 3 four-wheel-drive vehicles and 10 other vehicles).
• Certified copies of all Dog Licences and Permits issued by PAPA Act No.4 of 2016.
• Certificate or letter of compliance from Private Security Sector Provident Fund (PSSPF).
• Minimum of one recent reference demonstrating relevant security service experience with a project value of at least R15,000,000.00.

• Proven experience in security services, demonstrated through relevant references and project history.
• Availability of qualified personnel with appropriate security and firearm certifications.
• Operational control room with necessary infrastructure and compliance.
• Financial stability and resources to support large-scale security operations.
• Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including licensing, permits, and insurance.
