Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply, deliver, install, and provide ongoing maintenance for air conditioners within Kouga Municipality facilities. The project aims to ensure the municipality's air conditioning needs are met through reliable equipment and professional services, including repair and maintenance over the contract duration.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply of various models of air conditioners (9000Btu/h, 12000Btu/h, 18000Btu/h, 24000Btu/h, 32000Btu/h) including specifications for each.
• Delivery and installation of the units at designated municipal facilities.
• Provision for the repair, servicing, and maintenance of all installed air conditioners, including existing units, at least twice a year for the contract duration.
• Maintenance of existing air conditioning systems, with quotations for repairs and servicing of current units.
• Provision of contactable references demonstrating experience with similar projects.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as SANS 10142.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Models must be supplied with specifications and must be installed, replaced, and assembled as required.
• Units must be compliant with SANS 10142 standards.
• Proof of previous experience in air conditioning installation and maintenance, including appointment letters, references, signed SLAs, purchase orders, or tax invoices.
• Membership verification with SAIRAC (South African Institute of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning) is required.
• All work must be performed upon official orders, with proper documentation provided upon completion or repair.
• Maintenance of existing units will be handled separately from new installations.

Skills Requirements

The successful service provider must possess:

• Proven experience with at least five completed or ongoing projects involving air conditioning installation and maintenance.
• Technical expertise in the repair, servicing, and maintenance of various air conditioning models.
• Membership with SAIRAC or equivalent professional body, verified via their website.
• Ability to provide qualified personnel capable of performing installation, repairs, and maintenance to meet the specified standards.
• Capacity to supply and install units that meet the specified specifications and standards.
• Experience in working within municipal or similar public sector environments.
