Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a security company responsible for controlling and managing the reception area at the merSETA Head Office. This includes ensuring access control, maintaining a safe environment, providing a positive first impression, vetting visitors, monitoring entry points, managing security logs, and responding effectively to emergencies.

Scope

The scope of work involves:

• Controlling and managing the reception area at the merSETA Head Office located at 8 Hillside Road, Metropolitan Park, Parktown, Johannesburg.
• Ensuring visitors are directed appropriately and have entered the correct areas.
• Responding calmly to incidents and maintaining order.
• Providing security services within the offices, including contact with emergency services when necessary.
• Verifying visitor credentials and managing security logs.
• Ensuring security personnel possess valid PSIRA Grade D certificates and relevant experience.
• Conducting site visits as part of the quotation process, with a compulsory visit scheduled from 15 to 21 January 2026.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of security personnel with valid PSIRA Grade D certificates.
• Experience demonstrated through a comprehensive company profile and CSD report.
• Submission of at least three signed, contactable, and verifiable reference letters on company letterhead.
• Adherence to the scope of work outlined, including visitor vetting, access control, and emergency response.
• Participation in a compulsory site visit on specified dates.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified security personnel with valid PSIRA Grade D certification.
• Proven experience in security management, particularly in reception and access control roles.
• Ability to respond calmly and professionally to incidents and emergencies.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to handle visitors and staff effectively.
