Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to carry out cleaning services for reservoirs and tanks at Golden Gate Highlands National Park, Clarens, Free State.

Scope

The scope of work involves the cleaning of reservoirs and tanks, specifically:

• Draining reservoirs to a water level of 1 to 1.5 meters from the bottom.
• Cleaning and maintenance of tanks with a capacity of approximately 250,000 liters.

The service provider must ensure the reservoirs are drained and cleaned according to specified technical standards and specifications outlined in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

• Drain reservoirs to water levels of 1 – 1.5 meters from the bottom.
• Clean reservoirs and tanks with a capacity of 250,000 liters.
• Provide proof of experience in cleaning reservoirs and tanks, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Submit reference letters demonstrating experience in similar work within the last two years.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental standards applicable to reservoir cleaning.
• Complete and sign all required administrative documentation, including the Contract Form (SBD 7) and Declaration of Interest (SBD 4).

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in reservoir and tank cleaning, supported by reference letters and contract evidence.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations related to cleaning operations.
• Ability to drain and clean large capacity tanks efficiently and safely.
• Competence in providing technical documentation and compliance certificates.
• Effective communication skills for coordination and reporting purposes.
