Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a competent service provider to design, layout, print, and deliver the MICT SETA strategic documents for 2026/27, including the Sector Skills Plan (SSP), Strategic Plan (SP), and Annual Performance Plan (APP). Additionally, the service provider will handle the design and layout of the 2025/26 Research Reports and presentation slides, ensuring high-quality, visually engaging, and brand-compliant outputs.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Design, layout, and printing of the SSP (85 pages), SP, and APP (215 pages), including sub-sector reports.
• Design and layout of the 2025/26 Research Reports and associated presentation slides.
• Provision of digital copies suitable for web, eBooks, and high-resolution PDFs, as well as editable formats (MS Word, PowerPoint).
• Printing and distribution of physical copies (e.g., 240 copies for the Midrand office, including 80 copies of SSP, SP, and APP, and 150 copies of sub-sector reports).
• Adherence to MICT SETA branding guidelines and incorporation of innovative design elements such as infographics and 3D effects.
• Content management, version control, and attendance at status update meetings.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Design and layout of reports with a futuristic theme aligned with the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), emphasizing digital transformation, innovation, and connectivity.
• Use of infographics, data visualizations, and visual communication elements to enhance research findings.
• Application of 3D effects and modern design techniques to create engaging reports and presentation slides.
• Compliance with MICT SETA brand identity, including logo usage, brand colors, typography, and visual language.
• Delivery of samples and final products to MICT SETA Head Office in Johannesburg.
• Provision of digital versions for web, eBooks, PDFs, and editable formats (MS Word, PowerPoint).
• Implementation of a Quality Assurance (QA) plan covering content accuracy, design consistency, and branding compliance, with clear roles and checkpoints.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in designing and producing strategic documents, annual reports, and research publications, with samples of previous work.
• Expertise in digital and print media, including infographics, data visualization, and visual storytelling.
• Strong project management skills, including content management, version control, and meeting deadlines.
• Creative capability to interpret themes such as the 4IR and digital transformation within the design context.
• Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Assurance plan ensuring error-free, consistent, and brand-compliant outputs.
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, graphic designers, and content managers.
• Knowledge of branding standards and proficiency in relevant design software.
