Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to maintain cooling, refrigeration, and freezing equipment at SANParks' Golden Gate Highlands National Park for a period of three (3) years. The service includes regular maintenance and replacement of parts to ensure optimal operation of the equipment.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Maintenance of cooling, refrigeration, and freezing equipment across various locations within the park.
• Replacement of parts as necessary to ensure equipment functionality.
• Servicing equipment on a quarterly basis.
• Specific equipment includes refrigerators, freezers, cool rooms, and related appliances as detailed in the specifications, such as Mora, Defy, KIC, Hisense, and other brands.

Technical Requirements

The technical scope involves:

• Maintenance of a variety of refrigeration and cooling units, including:
• Walk-in freezers, bar fridges, chalet refrigerators, pantry coolers, side-by-side fridges, chest freezers, and other specified equipment.
• Adherence to the specified models, series, and asset numbers listed in the specifications.
• Quarterly servicing of all equipment.
• Replacement of parts as per manufacturer specifications and requirements.
• Provision of detailed pricing for each equipment item, including delivery costs.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in maintaining cooling, refrigeration, and freezing equipment, supported by reference letters.
• Proven technical expertise in handling brands such as Defy, Mora, KIC, Hisense, and others listed.
• Registration with relevant industry bodies such as SARACCA.
• Compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including tax compliance and CIDB registration (minimum grade 1 ME or higher).
• Availability of qualified technicians with valid trade test certificates.
• Ability to provide timely and effective maintenance services, including quarterly servicing and parts replacement.
