Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a competent service provider to perform maintenance and repair services for the Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Purification System at GSDM Water Quality Laboratory over a period of three (3) years. The aim is to ensure the system operates efficiently, providing high-quality water for laboratory purposes through scheduled preventative maintenance and timely corrective repairs.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of routine preventative maintenance as per scheduled activities bi-annually.
• Timely repairs and corrective maintenance to address system failures or degradation.
• Reporting of system trends indicating degradation or performance loss.
• Ad hoc call-out services with specified response times for critical and non-critical failures.
• Deployment and management of qualified maintenance staff trained in fault finding and repairs.
• Participation in maintenance coordination meetings and adherence to scheduled maintenance activities.
• Provision of spare parts, labor, and remedial services, subject to prior approval.
• Compliance with safety and operational standards specified in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Experience in maintaining Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Purification Systems.
• Traceable project experience with at least four (4) relevant projects or repair references.
• Qualified personnel with relevant certifications (e.g., National Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent, artisan qualifications).
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in RO system maintenance, with at least two (2) years specifically in RO water plant repairs.
• Availability of a call-out facility with specified response times: within 8 hours for critical failures and within 24 hours for non-critical issues.
• Provision of safety gear for maintenance staff and proper management of maintenance schedules.
• Capability to provide comprehensive preventative and remedial maintenance, including root cause analysis and replacement of parts.
• Adherence to scheduled maintenance activities and reporting procedures as outlined in the tender.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Proven project experience in RO water system maintenance, with traceable references and project details.
• Qualified technical personnel with relevant certifications and skills in water treatment systems, fault diagnosis, and repairs.
• At least four (4) years’ experience in the installation or maintenance of RO water purification plants.
• Ability to respond promptly to emergency call-outs and perform repairs within stipulated response times.
• Capacity to manage and deploy skilled maintenance staff capable of fault finding, repairs, and system assessments.
• Competence in attending coordination and progress meetings, and in adhering to scheduled maintenance plans.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, reporting procedures, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
