Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider responsible for the supply and delivery of on-the-shelf general electrical and mechanical hardware tools and equipment to ATNS. The goal is to ensure that ATNS has reliable access to essential hardware tools and equipment necessary for its operations, supporting its mission to provide safe, efficient, and effective air traffic management services across South Africa and the broader African region.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply and delivery of general electrical and mechanical hardware tools and equipment, as specified in the pricing schedule (SBD 3.1).
• Delivery to ATNS Head Office located at Block C, Eastgate Office Park, South Boulevard Road, Bruma, Johannesburg.
• Provision of all necessary items as detailed in the technical specifications and pricing schedule, including hardware tools, cable management, network components, and general hardware items.
• Adherence to delivery timelines and quality standards as specified in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements are outlined in the pricing schedule (SBD 3.1) and include:

• Supply of specific hardware items such as clamps, poles, cable ducts, brackets, network components (RJ45 connectors, network cables, media converters), electrical components (circuit breakers, outlets, earth panels), and miscellaneous tools (drills, crimpers, wire strippers).
• Items must meet specified sizes, quantities, and standards as detailed in the schedule.
• All items must be new, unused, and conform to relevant standards and specifications.
• Items must be packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transit and comply with delivery requirements.
• Suppliers must provide warranties for the supplied goods, typically 12 months from delivery or as specified.

Skills and Competency Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in supplying electrical and mechanical hardware tools and equipment, preferably to similar organizations or projects.
• Capability to meet technical specifications and quality standards outlined in the tender documents.
• Ability to deliver within specified timeframes and maintain supply chain reliability.
• Compliance with relevant regulatory and certification requirements, including registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and proof of tax compliance.
• Capacity to provide after-sales support, warranties, and technical assistance as required.
• Demonstrated understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards applicable to hardware supply and delivery.
